1956

Hal Brutzman came to Kennewick in 1944 from Idaho. He has been in business for himself as "Brutzmans", a stationery and office supply firm since 1946. In 1957 he was District Deputy to the Grand Master for District #23.  He was Worshipful Master in 1956.

1956

Kennewick #153 busily prepared for the Grand Communication on June 19, 1956. Kennewick Lodge was also celebrating its 50th year of existence--1906-1956.

Fortunately, the degree work was light during this term, there being only a total of 86 degrees exemplified--23 E. A. degrees, 28 F. C. degrees and 35 M. M. degrees – 31 special meetings including six funerals. One of our most beloved Brothers, Eddie Frauen, passed away this year and was buried with services from the Kennewick Masonic Temple. The records will show this was the first time such a service was ever held in the Masonic Temple--nor has one been held since.

There are no minutes or recordings on the Grand Lodge Communication, only two brief mentions made during the year.

Installation of officers for 1957 were held on December 21, 1956, with the following elective officers installed: W. M. Virgil Masters; S. W. Paul Ratsch; J. W. Linn Tinsman; Treasurer W. R. Gravenslund; Secretary P. 0. Stone.
