Brother Charles Florine was Worshipful Master of Kennewick Lodge #153 in 1918. His activities were confined pretty much to his Masonic interest. He worked for the Oregon-Washington Railroad and Navigation Company until his retirement.

January, 1918
Committee appointed to see if hall lighting can be improved. Committee appointed to watch for and see what could be done to obtain body of Brother Henry Trarnke who was drowned. Mrs. Mary Hardin washed all the aprons at cost of $2.

February, 1918
Resolution authorizing Master and Warden to act as Trustees to hold and take charge of real and personal property of lodge for its use submitted by Mark M. Moulton. Committee appointed to purchase vacuum cleaner. W. L. Craver moved secretary be authorized to purchase suitcase to carry his books. Carried.

April, 1918
After paying for vacuum cleaner in amount of $45 and other bills, the balance in treasury is $8.84 overdrawn, but some fees added to minutes show balance in next month's beginning balance of $45.71.

May, 1918
Brother Robert Q. McMahon moved that lodge purchase a $50 Liberty Loan Bond. Carried. First payment of $2.50 made. $5 donated to Washington Childrens' Home. $10 donated to Red Cross.

June, 1918
Bought another broom--cost now up to 80 cents.

July, 1918
Brother B. J. Gunn of Kansas City, Kansas, gave a very interesting and instructive address on Masonry.

September 8, 1918
Lodge to offer rent of hall for $4 per night to “Woodman.” Balance due on Liberty Loan Bond paid $37.90. No minutes from September 18 until November 20, 1918.

December, 1918
Vacuum cleaner rented out for $1 fee. Interest due First National Bank 25 cents. P.O.L. due $2.50. Any Brother over two years "in the rears" are to be dropped.

December, 1918
Joseph H. Siegfried elected and installed Worshipful Master. Brother E. 0. Keene donated from one to a dozen turkeys for installation on December 27 and committee appointed to "make proper arrangements to have aforesaid turkeys cooked with the necessary trimmings.”
